A habit tracker without streaks

Supports. Never punishes.

Regular doesn’t mean every day. No streaks to break: each active day adds a piece to your picture, and nothing ever disappears from it.

Two kinds of progress, kept apart on purpose.

Your rhythm shows how you’re doing lately. Your picture keeps everything you’ve done. Shown apart, a slow week never erases a good month.

Your current rhythm

5active days in the last 7

Rhythm instead of a streak: the active days in your last seven. You decide how many are enough, say three is good and five ideal. The window moves one day at a time, never resets on Monday, and nothing counts down.

Everything you’ve built

The first chapter of a valley picture The valley picture after three chapters The valley picture after five chapters

Every active day adds one piece. Seven pieces close a chapter, six chapters make a whole picture. Pieces never fade or disappear, and what you haven’t earned yet is a calm background, never empty boxes.

How it works

  1. 1

    One active day, one piece

Did something for your habit? Tap Done today and a piece flies into your picture. No plans to tick off, just one tap a day. Tapped by mistake? Undo it.

  2. 2

    Small chapters build a picture

Seven pieces close a chapter, six chapters reveal the whole picture: a valley, a fox, a night sky. Each finished chapter gets its own small moment.

  3. 3

    Rhythm instead of a streak

You set how many days a week are enough. A missed day lowers your rhythm a little, because that’s true, but it never takes a piece away.

Missed a day? Nothing breaks.

With a usual streak, one missed day sends you back to zero. Here it takes nothing away. Coming back after a pause is the hardest part of any habit, so we removed everything that makes it harder.

  • No streaks to loseYour count only ever goes up.
  • No red marksHistory shows what you did, not what you missed.
  • Gentle remindersOptional, and never louder after a pause.
  • No restartReturn to the same piece of the same picture.

A picture for every habit.

Landscapes, animals and quiet places, with new ones added over time. You only see the next part of a picture when you reach it.

Questions

What counts as an active day?

Any day you record the habit. One record per habit per day, so doing it twice won’t add a second piece.

What happens if I skip a week?

Your rhythm will show fewer active days, because that’s true. Your picture stays exactly as it is, and the next piece goes where it would have gone anyway.

Forgot to log yesterday?

Add it afterwards. You can fill in a past day you really did the habit, never a future one.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Almost Every Day is free. It’s still in the works and will be available for iPhone and Android.
